Welcome to the Yatzy Grand Dice Poker - the most thrilling dice poker game you could ever play! It’s a classic dice game where you play 13 rounds for scoring in 13 different categories. It’s very similar to some of the other renowned dice games, such as, Generala, Poker Dice, Yacht, Cheerio and Yahtzee.
Yatzy Grand Dice Poker presents a very easy to play version of the game, so that you can just sit back and enjoy rolling the dice, while the game does all the scoring for you.
The game follows the classic Yatzy rules. Each player rolls five dice in every turn. After each roll, the player chooses which dice to keep, and which to reroll. A player may reroll some or all of the dice up to two times on a turn. The player must put a score or zero into a score box each turn. The game ends when all score boxes are used. The player with the highest total score wins the game.
Scoring Instructions –
The player get 13 rounds for scoring. There are 13 scoring categories. Each scoring category can be used only ONCE per round.
1. Upper Category
• 1’s – you count up all the pips with a value of 1
• 2’s – you count up all the pips with a value of 2
• 3’s – you count up all the pips with a value of 3
• 4’s – you count up all the pips with a value of 4
• 5’s – you count up all the pips with a value of 5
• 6’s – you count up all the pips with a value of 6
2. Lower Category
• 3X (Three of a kind) – All the pips on ALL the dice are added up
• 4X (Four of a kind) - All the pips on ALL the dice are added up
• Full House (Three of kind + A pair) – Fixed score of 25
• Small Straight – 30 Points
• Large Straight – 40 Points
• Chance – Add up ALL pips on ALL dice for scoring. Chance is like a fall through.
• Yatzy (Five of a kind) – It’s fixed 50 points for your FIRST yatzy!
The goal for each round is to try to build the best hand as possible. Remember, as each round passes by, scoring categories get closed up, making it harder to score! Now that’s where your dice tactics come in! Which categories do aim for, and when should you aim for them?
